A Living Classroom on the Ranch
Our ranch learning experiences are designed for schools, youth groups, homeschool programs, and community organizations — offering hands-on opportunities to connect with animals, food, land, water, wildlife, and the changing seasons.
Depending on the time of year and what is happening on the ranch, groups may meet and learn about our horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, poultry, and other animals; discover where food comes from; explore the garden, lake, creek, wetlands, meadows, and forest; and learn about healthy soil, plants, wildlife, and stewardship through real-life experience.

Farm Fridays are immersive, hands-on learning experiences for school-aged groups on our working regenerative ranch. Students meet and learn about our animals, discover where food comes from, explore the land and its ecosystems, and experience stewardship in action.

Farm Fridays are immersive, hands-on learning experiences for school-aged groups on our working regenerative ranch. Students meet and learn about our animals, discover where food comes from, explore the land and its ecosystems, and experience stewardship in action.
Depending on the season, weather, animals, and what is happening on the ranch that day, experiences may include:
- Meeting and learning about our horses, cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens and turkeys
- Learning about animal care, behaviour and respectful interaction
- Discovering where our food comes from
- Exploring the garden and seasonal food production
- Learning about soil, compost, plants and pollinators
- Exploring the forest, meadows, creek, lake and wetlands
- Looking for frogs, insects, birds, tracks and other signs of wildlife
- Participating in seasonal ranch activities
- Learning how caring for animals, land, water and wildlife are all connected
No two Farm Fridays are exactly alike. Every season — and every day on a working ranch — brings something new to discover.
$250 per class • Up to 24 students
School staff and required chaperones included.
Fridays are our featured school days, with other weekdays available by request.

Story Time at the Ranch • Ages 2–5 • Approximately 2½ hours
Created especially for preschool and early-learning groups, Little Hands on the Land is a gentle, hands-on morning of animals, nature, stories and discovery.
Children will meet some of our farm animals, explore what is happening on the land, and gather for a live reading of one of

Created especially for preschool and early-learning groups, Little Hands on the Land is a gentle, hands-on morning of animals, nature, stories and discovery.
Children will meet some of our farm animals, explore what is happening on the land, and gather for a live reading of one of our children’s books.
Depending on the season, we may collect eggs, visit a calf or lamb, meet the chickens and turkeys, look for frogs and insects, explore the garden, or discover something entirely unexpected.
We’ll also make time for a simple nature-inspired art or craft activity, with plenty of room for little ones to move, explore, ask questions and experience the ranch at their own pace.
Groups are welcome to bring a packed lunch to enjoy at our covered lakeside gathering area.

$200 per group • Up to 15 children
Additional children $12 each • Maximum 20 children
School/childcare staff and required chaperones included.

Sometimes the most meaningful learning happens through simple experiences — gently touching an animal, digging in the soil, watching a frog at the water’s edge, collecting an egg, noticing an insect, or asking where our food actually comes from.
