Our mission is to restore connection—to land, to food, to animals, to each other, and to ourselves. Through regenerative farming, plant medicine, horse-guided empowerment, and community-based education, we create space for healing, resilience, and a return to what matters most: nourishment, nature, and soul-led living.
We’ve always been deeply connected to nature, self-sufficiency, clean eating, and the value of hard work. As our family grew, so did our longing—for land, quiet, and the ability to truly provide for ourselves.
That opportunity came in 2022, when we secured this stunning 320-acre off-grid parcel in the beautiful West Kootenays.
Our vision for the land is to offer sanctuary, rest, education, and empowerment to like-minded souls.
In today’s fast-paced world, we believe it’s essential to take breaks—for mental clarity, community, nourishment, and genuine connection to nature.
With no cell service and limited Wi-Fi, surrounded by wild beauty, this is a place to truly free your mind and feed your soul.
We now offer Airbnb and HipCamp stays, as well as group event bookings, for those looking to immerse themselves in nature.
The land is alive with wildlife, birdsong, farm animals, hiking trails, forest bathing paths, and wildflowers. And at night, without artificial lights, the stargazing is nothing short of spectacular.
Nestled in the forest by the lake, your accommodations are peaceful, comfortable, and offer views of visiting wildlife and waterbirds.
This is a true, working off-grid farm. Join us for a guided tour of our regenerative practices and meet the animals that make it all possible!
Rooted in People, Land & Purpose
Our heart is people—and growing and raising clean, nourishing food. We’re passionate about sharing our experiences, knowledge, and love of farming, off-grid living, and self-sufficiency with our community.
Our greater mission is human empowerment—bringing back ancestral wisdom and time-tested skills through courses, workshops, and retreats.
We also offer a place of refuge: a chance to unplug, reconnect with nature, and realign with your soul, desires, and life path.
Since launching our first events in 2023, we’ve had the joy of hosting powerful workshops, classes, and retreats—and the results have been nothing short of inspiring. A beautiful, like-minded community is growing here, and we’re honoured to be part of it.
If you’re a teacher or practitioner with a focus on empowerment, self-reliance, or nature-based healing, we’d love to connect with you. ✨
🌎🪶 Land Acknowledgment 🕊🧡
We honour and acknowledge the Indigenous peoples who lived on and cared for this land long before us—those who were unfairly treated, displaced, and forced onto reserves, where injustices continued.
Our hearts break for the pain and loss endured by their communities. We feel it deeply, and we do not take it lightly.
We promise to care for this land with the same reverence and respect. We promise to listen and learn, should any Elders or knowledge keepers be willing to share their wisdom. And we promise to treat all people with care, compassion, and kindness.
We believe the Kalispel, Ktunaxa, Sinixt, and Kootenai peoples once walked and tended this valley, and we honour them.
The name Pend d’Oreille—unofficially used to describe the valley between Nelway and Waneta—comes from the French for “earloop” or “hangs from ears,” inspired by the shell and bone earrings worn by Kalispel people.
“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
—George Santayana, 1905
