Our mission is to restore connection—to healthy land, food, animals, each other, and ourselves. Through regenerative land stewardship, farming, plant medicine, horse-guided empowerment, and community education, we foster healing, resilience, and a return to what matters most: nature, nourishment, and community.
About Us
Our Family, Our Story
We’ve always felt a deep connection to nature, self-sufficiency, clean food, and the value of hard work. As our family grew, so did our longing—for land, quiet, and the ability to truly provide for ourselves and steward the earth well.
That opportunity came in 2022, when we secured this stunning 320-acre off-grid parcel in the beautiful West Kootenays.
Today, our vision for this land is to offer sanctuary, rest, learning, and empowerment for those who feel called back to nature and a simpler way of living.
In today’s fast-paced world, we believe it’s essential to slow down—to create space for mental clarity, community, nourishment, and genuine connection with the land.
With no cell service and limited Wi-Fi, surrounded by wild beauty, this is a place to truly free your mind and feed your soul.
The land is alive with wildlife, birdsong, farm animals, forest trails, wildflowers, and quiet places for reflection. At night, without artificial lights, the stargazing is nothing short of spectacular.
Nestled in the forest beside the lake, the land offers a peaceful setting for learning, reflection, and immersion in nature—where wildlife, waterbirds, forest trails, and open skies become part of daily life.

Rooted in People, Land & Purpose
Our heart is people—and growing and raising clean, nourishing food. We’re passionate about sharing our experiences, knowledge, and love of farming, off-grid living, and self-sufficiency with our community.
We also believe deeply in being good stewards of the earth. Caring for the land, learning from it, and passing that knowledge on to others is at the heart of everything we do.
This vision is also supported through the Rooted in Nature Stewardship Society, which helps expand educational programs focused on regenerative land care and community learning.
Our greater mission is human empowerment: reviving ancestral wisdom and practical, time-tested skills through hands-on courses, workshops, and retreats rooted in regenerative land stewardship.
We also offer a place of refuge—a chance to unplug, reconnect with nature, and realign with what matters most: purpose, community, and the rhythms of the natural world.
Since launching our first events in 2023, we’ve had the joy of hosting workshops, classes, and retreats that bring people back into relationship with land, food, animals, and each other.
